GAYNGS Want 'One More Try'

The first time I gave a listen to GAYNGS' "The Gaudy Side of Town," the isolating pop falsetto reminded me immediately of Wham!, the '80s trend-benders led by George Michael and Andrew Ridgely.

GAYNGS' debut Relayted is one of the more inventive releases of the year, and now they have confirmed my suspicions and - with the help of Har Mar Superstar - given a bow to George Michael with a cover of "One More Try" (listen below!).

GAYNGS will make their network television debut on the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon Monday, October 4. The performance will include 10 of the 20 artists that appear on Relayted, including Justin Vernon and Mike Noyce of Bon Iver, head instigator Ryan Olson, Zak Coulter and Adam Hurlburt of Solid Gold, Jake Luck of Leisure Birds, Ivan Rosebud of The Rosebuds, Brad Cook and Joe Westerlund of Megafaun, and Mike Lewis of Andrew Bird and Happy Apple.
